2-3 serves

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup oil, to fry
  • 1 ½ tablespoons ginger (finely minced)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons garlic (finely minced)
  • 100 g Kind Grind Mince
  • 1 tablespoon fermented soy bean sauce
  • ½ – ¾ cup water + 1 ½ teaspoons cornstarch (need to test this)
  • 1 ½ – 2 tablespoons haidilao mala soup base (or another spicy mala soup base)
  • 300 g silken tofu (cubed)
  • 2 teaspoons chopped spring onion

Method

  1. Fry ginger & garlic in oil, then add kind grind. Fry until you get some browning on the Kind Grind.
  2. Stir in bean sauce for 1 min, then add the water and cornstarch mixture.
  3. Let the sauce bubble until it thickens a little.
  4. Stir in the chilli oil and silken tofu cubes. Cook 3-5 mins.
  5. Finally stir in the spring onions. Once they’re just wilted, it’s done.
